Rotary Club of Huntsville-Lake of Bays members joined more than 200 Rotarians in Sudbury from Thursday, Sept. 10, to Sunday, Sept. 13, for the 2015 Rotary District 7010 Conference. Outstanding guest speakers, inspirational projects, engaging fellowship and some fun and games at Science North were just a few of the items on the weekend's agenda.

Rotary International president representative Vicki Puliz kicked off the conference on Friday morning with a rousing speech that asked members to consider why they are Rotarians and why they attend their club meetings. Fellowship? Networking? Local service? Youth exchange? International projects? The possibilities are endless.
Rotarian Nancy and past-president Rob enjoy some of the interactive technology at Science North on Friday night. The district had exclusive use of the educational venue for some PG adult fun that evening, including talks on Subdury's 200-acre Rotary Park and the decades-long regreening of Sudbury following natural landscape devastation caused by former mining practices, as well as demonstrations by science centre staff.
Past-president Rob, secretary Nancy and president Alison enjoy some fellowship with members from the Penetang and Collingwood areas during the Saturday night district governor's gala. Weekend sessions on club member engagement, team building and Rotary projects are just a few of the topics they will likely discuss at a future club meeting.
