An Evening about Rotary

Past-president Rob (left) shared his reasons as a business owner for joining Rotary and his reasons as a community member for staying in Rotary. He cited friendship, humanitarianism and leadership opportunities as some of the main incentives for joining the club.

President Alison (centre) also shared a bit of the history of Rotary, an international club created in 1905 by a Chicago lawyer, who felt alone and wanted to make social connections outside of work. She explained club projects, like a Huntsville High School hot lunch program and the Huntsville Santa Claus Parade, as well as club social activities, such as hikes and barbecues.
