An Opportunity for Service

Dr. Lowell Greib of The SportLab in Huntsville joined the Rotary Club of Huntsville-Lake of Bays to talk about the 2016 Mayor's Bike Ride and propose a partnership with the club, on Jan. 14.

Lowell offered the club an opportunity to act as bike rodeo volunteers prior to the free family-friendly bike ride through downtown Huntsville. The bike rodeo will be an addition to the Mayor's Bike Ride this year.

He said the recreational bike ride, which is open to all abilities and ages, will be moved from August to earlier in the year so it will be closer to the start of the cycling season.

And he said both the rodeo and the bike ride would take place in the evening, making it easier easier for kids, adults and families.

Club members eagerly accepted the offer to help.
