Congratulations, Rotarian Steve!

The club awarded Steve with his pin and certificate after his business, Investors' Group, donated $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation, which funds not only international projects for initiatives related maternal and child health, literacy and sanitation, among others, but also funds local projects, such as our club's Helping Hungry Students program at Huntsville High School, through foundation grants. 

 

A week later on July 21, Steve acted as our club's guest speaker and regaled us with tales of his business and family trip to Spain. He told us it was his first trip to Europe and his was fascinated by the historic - and modern - architecture of Barcelona. He shared observations of the culture - small shops, afternoon siestas and late-night meals - while showing photos of a humanitarian project he and his international colleagues completed - building toys and more for Barcelona residents in need.
