Youth exchange student offers insight into Denmark

Rotary Club of Huntsville-Lake of Bays member met the delightful Rebecca Vestergaard, the Rotary Club of Huntsville's youth exchange student from Denmark, on May 19.

The young international traveller shared stories about her time in Canada so far – we get more snow than Denmark! – while providing us with some insight into life in her home country.

Rebecca is nearly done her year in Canada and, apart from her incredible English language skills, she has also created several amazing memories to last her a lifetime, such as travelling across Ontario with her host families and also planning a trip out East with other exchange students. She says her experience here has given her an increased sense of self as well as more self-confidence.

We wish Rebecca the best as she continues on her journey. She is truly a remarkable young woman.
