Giving money to a great cause

Winding down our bingo money seemed more difficult than we thought. But at last we have two great causes out of many in our area that we can put our fundraising efforts to use in building a better place for us all to live. The first of these is Habitat for Humanity who will be building two homes in Huntsville this summer and the second you will see in the near future.
It was fabulous to have on hand at our weekly meeting two members of Habitat for Humanity Muskoka, Ellen Frood Executive Director and Emma Platts-Boyle Volunteer Coordinator. Their explanation of what it takes to construct these homes was not only interesting but very informative to members of our club which besides giving the $2408.26 to their cause is also excited about getting our hands dirty by contributing some sweat equity to this project as well, Service Above Self not just a Motto.
