A mountain of books will make a mountain of difference for at-risk youth and young leaders in North Muskoka after the Rotary Club of Huntsville-Lake of Bays Canada Day book sale raised roughly $2,000 for club programs on July 1.

Peter and Carol Schwarzl's generous donation of thousands of books to the club lead to swarms of readers and bargain hunters at Trinity United Church on Canada Day in downtown Huntsville sifting through an estimated 8,000 titles, including mysteries, true crime, sports, sci-fi and more.

Funds raised will support the club's Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions Kids to Camp initiative, Algonquin Orthodontics dental program for low-income children, Helping Hungry Students lunch nutrition program for Huntsville High School and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards sponsorships for future leaders, to name a few.
