When life throws you lemons, set them gently aside and make perogies instead.

Rotary Club of North Muskoka members, with help from volunteers and our fellow Rotarians with the Rotary Club of Huntsville Evening Satellite Club, were determined to continue our annual handmade Ukrainian perogie fundraiser, despite all the roadblocks 2020 has put in the world's path.

So, with physical distancing, masks, participant limits and other additional safety measures in place, volunteers assembled more than 100 dozen of the potato-and-cheese-filled dough pockets for sale to a hungry and compassionate public!

All the work happened in the Table Soup Kitchen Foundation's commercial kitchen.

And a most important thank you to Rotarian Nick and his wife, Vivian, for their tireless and essential leadership in this labour-intensive but fun and fulfilling weekend of Rotary at Work!
